Founder Nick Buonocore is a parent, volunteer coach, and former collegiate athlete with a unique, first-hand perspective on the changing culture of today’s youth sports industry.
"From my own experience, I realized I was part of the culture challenge as I was subconsciously – and at times consciously - attaching my own identity to my kids’ performances. I was among countless parents vulnerable to the influences and effects of the growing, multi-billion-dollar industry. With more youth sports opportunities than ever before, I began to question the approach and perceived benefits that families are left to navigate on their own.”
Grounded by self-realization and inspired to champion a reformed mindset, Nick established Reformed Sports Project to promote a healthy and holistic approach in all areas of sport, through education and advocacy.
Today, he is a leading voice in youth sports reform.
Co-Founder Peter Carlisle has been at the forefront of athlete representation, advocacy, and marketing for more than 25 years. Widely regarded as one of the most influential behind-the-scenes figures in the Olympic Movement, he has represented an impressive clientele of individual sport athletes and coaches that spans numerous sports.
A longtime athlete rights advocate, Peter has practical expertise protecting athlete interests in critical areas such as eligibility, funding, sexual abuse, intellectual property, commercial rights, and mental health. His thought leadership is regularly recognized by academic institutions, corporate executives, news media, and the sports industry generally, including being honored as Sports Law Lawyer of the Year by Best Lawyers, one of the most influential sports agents by Sports Illustrated and The Sporting News, and as an Executive-In-Residence at UMass-Amherst Mark H. McCormack Department of Sport Management.
As Co-Founder of Reformed Sports, Peter champions informed decision-making, maintaining perspective, and prioritizing a healthy balance for athletes - youth sports to World Champions - in all aspects of sports.
